What happened during the visit
The visit
Guided by CEO Giovanni Coppo, the Prime Minister toured the manufacturing processes behind Sambonet cutlery and Paderno cookware, along with the company's showrooms and offices, gaining a close look at the history and evolution of both Italian brands and the wider Arcturus Group. For the company, the visit was a chance to highlight the excellence, values and quality it brings to market through authentic products and hands-on expertise.
Giovanni Coppo's comment
Speaking after the visit, CEO Giovanni Coppo thanked the Prime Minister for taking the time to see the company up close. "Thank you, President Giorgia Meloni, for visiting Sambonet Paderno Industrie to discover the world of Italian hospitality and the many faces of the Arcturus Group up close," he said.
From Vercelli to Orfengo
The second edition of Risò, the international rice festival, ran in Vercelli from 9 to 14 September 2026, with a public Village open to visitors from 11 to 13 September. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni attended as a visitor on 11 September, cutting the ribbon at 11am. Titled "Coltiviamo emozioni" ("Cultivating emotions"), the 2026 edition marked three anniversaries: the Cavour Canal, the eight-hour working day won by the mondine, and Arborio rice. It was on the sidelines of this stop that the Prime Minister travelled to Orfengo.
